This is a great homemade gift idea! Make up a large batch of these delicious nuts, package them in mason jars, wrap a bow around it, and voila. Easy, delicious, and thoughtful! Plus, these maple candied nuts are refined sugar free, corn syrup free, and dairy free--unlike most candied nut recipes. There are only 3 ingredients besides the nuts themselves: maple syrup, coconut sugar, and cinnamon. A delicious mix of flavours with all natural sweeteners. You can't go wrong! Feel free to mix up the blend of nuts with whichever ones you prefer.
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup walnuts
1 cup almonds
1 cup pecans
Bring maple syrup and coconut sugar to a boil. Whisk in cinnamon. Remove from heat and stir in the nuts. Pour mixture evenly onto 2 parchment-lined cookie sheets. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes. Mixture will bubble up. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Break into pieces and place in a sealed container or package as gifts.
