1/4 lb green beans, trimmed
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1/8 cup slivered almonds
1 tsp butter
Boil water in a small pot. Add beans and cook for 2 minutes. Drain water and rinse in very cold water, to stop the cooking process. Set beans aside. Heat butter and olive oil over medium heat in a small pan. Add garlic and roast garlic slightly (stir). Add the green beans and coat in the garlic / butter mixture. Before serving, add slivered almonds for an additional crunch.
