A take-out favourite that can be made right in the slow cooker! Unlike in restaurants, you have the ability to choose high quality ingredients for this dish. 1 lb sirloin steak, cut in strips
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
1 tsp coarse salt
1 large organic onion, finely chopped
1 organic green pepper, cut into strips
3 stalks of organic celery, cut on the angle
1 cup organic mushrooms, quartered
1 head organic broccoli, cut into florets and steamed
2 Tbsp arrowroot flour
½ cup water
In a medium sauté pan, brown beef in toasted sesame oil over medium heat. Add salt and remove from heat. Place onion, green pepper, celery and mushrooms in bottom of crock pot. Pour sauce over. Lay sautéed beef over top. Turn crock pot onto High for 4 hours or Low for 6 hours.
In a small bowl stir the water and arrowroot flour together until well combined. Strain the liquid from the beef crock pot mixture into a saucepan over medium heat. Just before mixture comes to a boil, whisk in the arrowroot mixture. Keep whisking until liquid thickens. Pour the steamed broccoli and the sauce over the vegetables in the crock pot. Stir to make sure all the vegetables are coated with the sauce. Serve.

½ cup gluten free tamari
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp organic garlic, chopped
1 Tbsp organic ginger, grated
2 cups water
