Camping season has begun and it's easy to get stuck on the same campfire classics. let us help you switch things up with these tasty hobo sacks. Much like a hamburger, but without the bun and the typical toppings. Topped off with yams, red peppers, and onions make this one tasty burger you just cant wait to open up - we promise you won't even miss the bun! Perfect for gluten free family members and friends.
2 hamburger patties
1 medium-sized organic yam, scrubbed and sliced into 1/4 inch slices
1 organic red pepper, cut into strips
1/2 organic onion, sliced (about 1/2 cup)
2 tsp. coconut oil/butter ghee
Herbamare and pepper to taste
Take about a foot of foil. Place frozen burger patty on foil. Place half of the yam slices on top of the patty. Cover with half of the red pepper slices and half of the onion slices. Place the coconut oil/butter ghee on the top and season with Herbamare and pepper. Place another piece of foil over top and fold up all of the edges. Repeat for the other packet. Place on hot coals for about 10 minutes per side, or high heat for 10 minutes each side. Open up foil packet to make sure beef patty is cooked through and veggies are tender or caramelized. Be careful not to let the steam burn you.
