Game day isn't complete without chili - and this one is bound to become your new favourite. With beef and turkey sausage, a variety of fresh veggies, zesty seasonings and spices, and nutrient-packed beans, your guests will be asking for seconds before their first bowl is even done.
- 1 lb. Organic ground beef
- 1 lb. Mark's turkey sausage, casings removed
- 1 large organic onion, chopped
- 2 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 organic red pepper, chopped
- 1 cup chopped organic mushrooms
- 1 cup chopped organic celery
- 1 cup chopped organic zucchini
- 1-6' piece Wakame, crumbled
- 1 28-oz can Eden crushed tomatoes
- 1-1/2 tbsp Clef des Champs Chili Powder
- ¼ tsp - ½ tsp cayenne powder (can be very hot)
- 1 can Eden black soybeans, drained
- 1 can Eden pinto beans, drained
- 1 can Eden navy beans, drained 1 tbsp.
- Real Sea Salt
Sauté ground beef and turkey sausage together. Use a wooden spoon to break up the turkey sausage into small pieces. Drain fat from skillet and add in the vegetables, the wakame, and the sea salt. Saute until vegetables are tender and add in remaining ingredients. Let simmer for about an hour to let flavours mesh. Garnish with fresh cilantro and/or grated cheese.
