Baked apples are the perfect light treat when you're craving something sweet! Use your favourite variety of apple and enjoy the fusion of sweet and cinnamon. It'll satisfy any sweet tooth.
4 organic cooking apples
1/2 cup sucanat
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup boiling water
Slice top off apple and core to a 1/2 inch at the bottom (Use a paring knife or apple corer). Place apple in a glass baking dish. Mix sucanat and cinnamon together and pour this mixture into each apple. Top with a dab of butter. Pour boiling water in bottom of baking dish. Bake covered at 350°F for 45 minutes or until apples are soft. Serve with organic ice cream or whipping cream whipped with maple syrup. Enjoy!
