BBQ Pineapple Pizza with Honey Garlic Sausage

BBQ Pineapple Pizza with Honey Garlic Sausage

Hawaiian pizza with a twist! It's about time we gave this traditional pizza a healthy makeover with some added ingredients.

In your typical Hawaiian pizza you will usually find processed meat, pineapple with added refined sugar, and not to mention the unsatisfied feeling you get after you finish eating it. This pizza overhaul swaps out processed ingredients for organic pineapple, fresh, and full of vitamin C, Mark's honey garlic sausage, filled with beneficial protein, Woolwich Goat Cheese which is low in sodium and last but not least, cilantro. For those who don't know, cilantro is well known for detoxifying the body, so not only does it taste great but it has a purpose too! Give this pizza a try and we dare you to try and  go back to your traditional ways.

8” pizza crust (of your choice)
4 tbsp. BBQ Sauce
Organic pineapple, sliced thin and cut into half moons, plus more for topping
2 Mark’s honey garlic sausages, cooked and sliced into thin pieces
¼ cup Woolwich Goat Cheese, crumbled
¼ cup fresh organic cilantro, chopped

Spoon the BBQ sauce onto the pizza crust and spread evenly. Add the pineapple to almost cover the sauce. Add the sausage pieces to the pizza and sprinkle the goat cheese. Add the chopped cilantro, and top with a few more small pieces of pineapple. Put on a pan in the oven at 350°F for 30-40 minutes, or until sausage is bubbling and cheese is a little melty. Remove, let cool for 5 minutes, and serve.
