It’s already the undisputed king of the snack table, but we’ve gone ahead and given it a serious upgrade. Say hello to our Protein-Packed Guacamole—the creamy, zesty, crowd-pleasing dip that doesn't just taste amazing, it actually keeps you full.

At Goodness Me!, we live by our Lifewatchers philosophy: every plate should be a harmonious balance of protein, fat, and fiber. While traditional guac is already a superstar in the healthy fats and fiber departments, we found a secret weapon to sneak in that missing protein punch without compromising on that classic, velvety texture.

The secret? Edamame. Trust us on this one.

  • Healthy Fats: Loaded with avocados to keep your brain happy and your joints lubricated.
  • Fiber: Between the avocado, tomatoes, and onions, your digestion is getting a major high-five.
  • Protein: The mashed edamame seamlessly blends in, giving you the sustained energy you need to conquer your day—no mid-afternoon crash allowed.

Grab your molcajete (if you don’t have a molcajete, Shiadanni would like a word) or a sturdy bowl, and let's get mashing.

The Recipe: Protein-Packed Guacamole 🥑

🛒 What You’ll Need:

  • Avocados: 4 at least. 6 if you’re serious.
  • Edamame: 1/2 cup, cooked, cooled, and thoroughly mashed.
  • Garlic: Fresh, crushed, and A LOT. We’re talking vampire-killer levels. (No garlic powder allowed, or we will secretly judge you.)
  • White Onion: 1/4 cup, finely diced.
  • Diced Tomato: As much as your heart desires—and don't you dare leave out the juice!
  • Serrano or Jalapeño Chile: 1 (or more) if you like a kick. Don’t argue with us, just do it.🌶️
  • Salt: To taste.
  • Lime: Freshly squeezed. Not lemon. Lime. 🍋🟩
  • Cilantro: Finely chopped. Look, we know to some of you it tastes like soap, but leave it out and you’ll be cursed with boring dip for the rest of your life.

⚠️ THE SACRED LAWS: NO bacon. NO mayo. OMG, never the mayo. Keep it pure, people!

👩🍳 How to Make It:

  1. In a large bowl, mash your avocados alongside your cooked, cooled, and pre-mashed edamame until you hit your perfect texture preference (chunky or smooth!).
  2. Fold in the mountain of fresh garlic, diced onions, tomatoes (with juice), and your choice of chiles.
  3. Squeeze in the fresh lime juice, throw in the cilantro, and season with salt.
  4. Mix it all together, taste, adjust, and get ready to serve.

To Serve: Pair this masterpiece with a bag of organically crafted Que Pasa Tortilla Chips or the locally loved, authentic crunch of Mad Mexican Chips.
