Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk
Enjoy a creamy, smooth, naturally energizing start to you day with this easy iced oat milk matcha latte! No need to visit the local coffee shop when you can make this in a few minutes at home!
Why matcha? You get more antioxidants and nutrients with matcha than regular green tea, because you are consuming the tea leaves, not steeping and tossing!
Ingredients
- 1 tsp DoMatcha (less, if you prefer a lighter matcha flavour)
- 1/2 cup hot water
- Oat Milk (original or vanilla)
- 1 scoop Organika Collagen, Unflavoured , optional
- Matcha Whisk, recommended for best result
- Goodness Me! Maple Syrup, to taste (start with 1 tsp - 1 tbsp)
- Ice
Method
- Add matcha to a small bowl. Pour in half the hot water and whisk in a "w" pattern until smooth and frothy.
- Add collagen and maple syrup. Stir to combine.
- Fill a cup with ice, then pour in oat milk until 2/3 full.
- Pour the matcha mixture over the milk. Stir.
- Enjoy!
Tips:
- Vanilla smooths out the sharpness of matcha, while adding additional flavour! We used Vanilla Oat Milk for an easy vanilla add-in.
- Matcha does not dissolve, but requires whisking in hot water for a smooth texture. Try a Matcha Whisk for best results! We promise, it's worth it!
