Lemon is a tree with fragrant star-shaped flowers. The essential oil is extracted by cold expression of the peel of the nearly ripe fruit.

INCI: Citrus limon (syn. Citrus limonum)

ESSENCE: A “high vibration” oil that promotes clarity. Lemon is a top note and is considered to be stimulating.

EFFECTS: Lemon essential oil aids in decision-making, is effective in relieving mental fatigue and acts as an antidepressant when used as an inhalation.

THERAPY: A mild detoxifier - helpful for fighting toxemia and cellulite. Its astringent properties make it very useful in balancing the over-production of sebum - good for oily skin and acne. Lemon essential oil tones most aging skin and is ideal for use in erasing brown (age) patches or spots. Lemon is excellent for circulation and may be used for varicose veins, broken capillaries and hemorrhoids. It is also useful for treating symptoms of colds, flu, bronchitis and asthma.

PRECAUTIONS: Lemon is photosensitive. Avoid sun exposure for 24 hours after using. Do not use on damaged or sunburnt skin.
