Healthier Mocktails & Mixers

Its summer time and nothing makes a summer afternoon quite like a delicious cold bevi. Mocktails are a great way to enjoy a treat while skipping the booze… or saving it for later! Whether blended or shaken over ice, these tasty drinks will have you imagining yourself on a beach somewhere far far away. Spicy or sweet, sour or savoury, there is something for everyone on our list of classic mocktails with a twist.

Ginger Lime Mojito

This zingy drink is as refreshing as it delicious! The 5 minute homemade ginger syrup is a great way to add depth and flavour to any drink. Enjoy it shaken or stirred in a chilled glass if you’re feeling fancy!

Ingredients:

Ginger Simple Syrup
  • ½ cup Cane Sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 inches organic ginger sliced

Directions:

  1. Make the ginger simple syrup: mix cane sugar, ginger and water in a small pot. Bring to a boil and let simmer for about 5 minutes. Let cool.
  2. In a small bowl, muddle the ginger syrup with the lime juice and mint leaves
  3. Pour the mixture into a cup and fill with ice
  4. Pour Lacroix lime over ice, stir and enjoy


Spicy Strawberry Watermelon Margarita

This sweet drink packs a punch with a little hidden spice! Mint brightens up the watermelon and strawberries give the perfect consistency to this blended gem. Adjust the spice and sweetness to your liking, then kick back and relax.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh watermelon
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 tsp simple syrup
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 3-5 banana peppers
  • 5-10 mint leaves
  • Course salt
  • 1 lime

Simple Syrup:

  • ½ cup Wholesome Raw cane sugar
  • \½ cup water

Directions:

  1. Make the simple syrup: mix cane sugar and water in a small pot. Bring to a boil and let simmer for about 5 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend on high.
  3. Prep the glass: Run a lime wedge on the rim of a glass. Pour salt on a plate and twist rim of glass on it until well coated.
  4. Pour blended margarita into glass, garnish and enjoy.

Pina Colada

Stay-cation here you come! This smooth and creamy drink will have you smelling the ocean breeze in no time. Tropical flavours and no added sweeteners make this a healthy option compared to your usual pineapple cocktail. Throw it together and you are ready to go in 5 minutes flat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • ½ frozen banana (about ¼ cup)
  • ½ cup Silk Coconut Milk
  • Juice of 1 lime

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients in blender and blend on high (add ¼ cup more milk if your blender needs it).
  2. Pour into a fancy glass and enjoy


Hibiscus Sparkling Iced Tea

This tangy tea is great made solo or stored in a pitcher. Hints of blackberry and lemongrass pair perfectly with a little home made lemonade. Keep the iced tea lemonade base prepped in your fridge so you can whip this together at any time.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Steep tea for 5 minutes and chill.
  2. Mix tea, lemon juice and simple syrup
  3. Pour in a wine glass over ice and top with Lacroix passion fruit


Peach Mango Bellini

This blended bevi is the perfect excuse for a girl’s night in. No champagne in this fun twist. Instead tart cranberries pair perfectly with the sweetness of peach and mango. Enjoy with a fun salad or appy and you’ve got yourself a light summer night.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups frozen peach/mango, combined
  • ½- ¾ cup Lacroix Sparkling Water Peach Pear
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp simple syrup (directions above)
  • 2 tbsp cranberry juice/cocktail (or any cranberry variation)

Directions:

  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender
  2. Pour into a fancy glass and top with cranberry juice


Mocha Mudslide

This dreamy drink is half afternoon snack and half dessert! Perfect for a warm evening, it will keep you cool while satisfying your sweet tooth. Not into coffee? No problem, skip it! This mudslide is super versatile so feel free to substitute your fave ice cream too.

Ingredients:

Chocolate sauce:

  • ¼ cup Goodness Me! Maple Syrup
  • ¼ cup Cacao powder
  • ¼ cup Oat Milk (or sub any plant based milk)
  • 2 tbsp Goodness Me! Coconut Oil, melted


Directions:

  1. Make the chocolate sauce: sift cocoa powder and whisk all ingredients gently until well combined
  2. Put all other ingredients in a blender and blend on high (option to exclude espresso at this stage if desired, just add a little more milk for consistency)
  3. Line a glass with chocolate sauce and slowly scoop/pour contents into glass (option to pour the espresso over mudslide affogato style)
  4. Garnish with cacao nibs, chocolate sauce and/or or coconut whipped cream
