Coming to all Goodness Me! locations in April, Share Goodnessis the much-requested companion to Discover the Power of Food. It has over 100 recipes and tips for the reader, a special sneak-peak into Janet’s early life and what inspired her to get healthy, and nutrition and cooking tips on each recipe.
Share Goodnesshas a number of healthy salad recipes that will take you beyond iceberg lettuce and cucumber. These salads use all the goodness of the harvest, and encourage you to experiment with what you have on hand. The dressing combinations are delightful additions to each salad, and you’ll be able to use the dressings in other ways and dishes, too! Also included is a sections for soups and side dishes that will get you excited about vegetables again. You’ll use them in different ways with different flavours to create something new every day. Did you think beets always took forever to cook? Janet has a recipe that cooks them in 10 minutes. What about Brussels sprouts—boring? Not once you try her Brussels Sprouts & Garlic Sauté. And some of the recipes are inspired by her grandkids and family members—it’s never too early to get your kids involved!

What else does Share Goodnesshave? Reference to the Four Level Step Up to Wellness Food Chart, as used in Discover the Power of Food. Each recipe is rated Level 4, Level 3, Level 2, or Level 1 (and there are actually no Level 2 or Level 1 recipes in the book – meaning they are all as healthy as can be!). All the recipes are Lifewatcher friendly, too, and the majority are gluten- and wheat-free (most are grain free, too!). Vegan or vegetarian? There are a wide variety of those recipes as well, and lots of adaptations that can be made. We have noted on each recipe if it is gluten-free, wheat-free, diabetic-friendly, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and low-insulin potential. Plus, Janet has included an intro to each recipe section with some tips and tools to choosing the right foods and putting them together in the right way!
