HEALTHY SOLUTIONS FOR AUTOIMMUNE - Mississauga - Jun-4-2016 10:00AM
Goodness Me! Education
There are over 100 Autoimmune diseases now identified, including scleroderma, lupus, Hashimoto's thyroid, vitiligo, celiac, rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes, MS, and Sjogren's syndrome. A growing number of people, up to 75% of them women, are affected by these serious complaints, yet there is little information on how best to address, or even arrest -- an autoimmune condition. Whether it is the joints, muscles, skin, connective tissue, organs, spinal cord, or glands that are affected, all involve an immune system gone awry, one that identifies your healthy cells as foreign. As a result, your immune system attacks healthy body cells. Though different parts of the body are affected, all autoimmune conditions share some similar traits and benefit from similar nutritional and lifestyle strategies. Learn how it is possible to "turn off" the autoimmune process!
Autoimmune diseases often run in families, and if you have one autoimmune disease, you are more likely to develop a second. In this day-long workshop, you will learn the nature of autoimmune conditions along with who is most at risk, and most importantly, what you can do about it. What are the potential causative factors such as heredity, nutritional status, adrenal health, and emotional issues? How do they relate to autoimmunity? What role does the gastrointestinal tract play in balanced immunity? What is leaky gut? How can you heal it?
The workshop includes a delicious lunch, and the emphasis will be on healing, healthy food, along with a variety of herbal, nutritional, and lifestyle approaches to help restore a balanced immune system.
