Part-Time Eatery Team Member

Goodness Me! is currently seeking a part-time Eatery Team Member for our in-house Eatery & Bakery in Guelph . The successful applicants will have energy and enthusiasm, an eagerness to learn, and a zest for healthy living. The successful candidate will be an upbeat, flexible go-getter. Candidates must be highly organized, responsible, and reliable. Attention to cleanliness is a must. A dedication to outstanding customer service and a commitment to working as part of a team are required for success in this position. Relevant experience, particularly in customer service, food service (safe food handling), operating a cash register, and working in a restaurant, are required. Safe Food Handling Certification is considered an asset. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, while at the same time proactively creating and working through task lists during slower periods. This position will be working 12-20 hours weekly, and will consist of mainly evening and weekend shifts.

Job Summary: The Eatery Team Member serves customers with friendliness and efficiency, and assists with kitchen and cleaning duties as needed, including light kitchen prep. The successful candidate will be an upbeat, flexible go-getter. The Eatery Team Member is responsible for the preparation of food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner to be used by the Cooks for meal completion. The Eatery Team Member must be prepared to work early and late hours in a high-pressure work environment, being efficient and knowledgeable about food preparation needs. The Eatery Team Member must work as a team member in a dynamic workplace, follow all safety procedures, and have a high threshold for heat in a kitchen environment. The Eatery Team Member performs a variety of food preparation duties other than cooking, such as chopping ingredients, separating portions, weighing cuts, preparing cold foods and shellfish, slicing meat, preparing needed pre baked goods and making salads.

Part-Time Fresh Food Team Member

Goodness Me! is currently seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Fresh Food Team Members for our Guelph location.  The successful applicants will have energy and enthusiasm, an eagerness to learn, and a zest for healthy living.  A dedication to outstanding customer service and a commitment to working as part of a team are required for success in this position.  Relevant experience, particularly prior produce experience, is essential.  Flexible availability is required, as this position will entail no more than 30 hours per week, and consist of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. 

Job Summary:  Working as part of a supportive team to ensure a well-run and visually appealing Fresh Foods Department, a Fresh Food Team Member efficiently and energetically performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, stocking product (including produce, meat and bread) and ensuring it is attractively displayed, ensuring only fresh produce is on display, receiving orders, and maintaining a clean department. Fresh Food Team Members are also responsible for helping to deliver a highly positive Goodness Me! experience by enthusiastically greeting each customer and offering assistance, recommending appropriate products and providing relevant information.

Healthy Living Advisor

Goodness Me! is now hiring a personable part-time Healthy Living Advisor to join our team in Guelph.  The successful candidate will have energy and enthusiasm, an eagerness to learn, and a passion for healthy living.  Candidates must have attained, or are actively working toward the Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP), Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN), or Naturopathic Doctor (ND) designations, or are able to demonstrate a similar (or equivalent) knowledge base to a Nutritionist or Naturopath acquired through extensive experience and/or other similar education.  Applicants must be highly organized with exceptional communication and customer service skills.  Relevant experience, particularly in customer service, is required. Knowledge of the natural/organic food industry, brands & products – including supplements – is a must, while a background in holistic health is preferred.  This position would entail approximately 15-25 hours per week.

Job Summary:  Working to equip Goodness Me! customers with the information they need to embrace a holistic approach to healthy living, a Healthy Living Advisor (HLA) offers advice on natural and organic products, while also suggesting dietary, supplement, education, and lifestyle recommendations.  The HLA circulates through all store departments, to engage each customer, when there are no customers in the Supplements Department.

Goodness Me! is currently seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Supplement Team Member for our Guelph location.  The successful applicant will have energy and enthusiasm, an eagerness to learn, and a sincere interest in natural health and supplements.  The candidate must be highly responsible, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.  A dedication to outstanding customer service and a commitment to working as part of a team are required for success in this position.  Existing supplement knowledge is required, while a background in holistic health is preferred.  This part-time position will entail approximately 10 – 20 hours per week, and flexibility is required, as this role will consist of a mix of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts.

In-House Demo Team Member

Goodness Me! is currently seeking an engaging part-time In-House Demo Team Member to work in our Guelph location. The successful applicant will have energy and enthusiasm, an eagerness to learn, and a zest for healthy living. A dedication to outstanding customer service and a passion for healthy eating is required for success in this position. Knowledge of the natural foods industry and previous work experience is considered a strong asset. The incumbent will have demonstrated knowledge of visual presentation, and a creative eye, as this position would assist with marketing initiatives such as kiosk and seasonal displays. Candidates must be highly flexible, as this position will entail a mix of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. This role will generally entail working 10-25 hours per week, which is varying based on store needs and customer traffic.

Job Summary: In-House Demo Team Member (IHDTMs) play an important role as part of the Goodness Me! marketing team. IHDTMs set up and man a visually appealing demo station, ensuring that it stays fully stocked and orderly throughout the duration of the product showcase. The presence of the IHDTM near the inside entrance of the store serves to provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to customers as they enter. IHDTMs endeavor to knowledgeably engage customers in conversation about the product being demoed, having studied the product knowledge sheets in-depth in advance. They are eager, charming and gracious in their quest to intrigue customers and pique interest, yet always careful not to come across as pushy or intrusive. Keen to expand their knowledge base to better serve customers, IHDTMs are always striving to learn more.
